Mozzarella

Mozzarella got it’s name from the Neapolitan dialect where mozza means “to cut” referring to the method of working. This southern Italian cheese is made from local organic and conventional milk by the pasta filata method. Fresh mozzarella is generally white but may vary seasonally to slightly yellow depending on the animal’s diet. In Italy, mozzarella is served the day it is made and can be kept in brine but we recommend consuming it immediately to taste the absolute freshness and delicious taste brought to you by our Italian cheese makers who use traditional family recipes.

Most popular mozzarella recipes will serve this cheese on pizza and in pasta dishes. We also recommend it as a simple Caprese salad served with sliced tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper and our Tuscan olive oil.

Available in 8 oz, 4 oz, 2 oz and 1 oz size.
